Trash Can Thursday

Disney Diversions is all about all those tiny details and out of the way experiences that make visiting a Disney theme park different than your local amusement park.

Who am I? A long time Disney World fan, my first trip was at age 7 and thanks to an amazing aunt I got to go somewhat regularly for the rest of my childhood. I spent nearly a decade away from the parks and then rediscovered them and realized that I was even more fascinated by some aspects of the Disney experience than I had been as a child. Then I started graduate school and realized that I wanted to study Disney in terms of the things that interested me about theater.

Why another Disney website? Because I wanted to collect information on the more out of the way shows and diversions in one place. Because it’s possible to enjoy Disney World without going on a single ride. Because I need a place to post thoughts as I work them out for some potential academic work. Because I want to post pictures of those tiny details that I have been l fascinated by since I was seven years old. And because my friends need me to stop talking about this.
